Tales of outer suburbia is a book full of strange and interesting short stories.
Every story is extremely well illustrated and completely different.

My favourite story is called Eric. Eric is about a forein exchange student who is very small and has a head the size and shape of an Autum leaf. The family Eric visits treats him like an ordinary person, so if there where no pictures you would think that he is a normal person.

Other stories like stick figures have a deeper meaning.

Even though tales of outer suburbia is a picture book I wouldn't recommend it to younger readers because it is quite complex.
