Sophie and her twin brother Josh were both ordinary teenagers. Their parents were archaeologists and their work meant that they had to travel to many different places. They were now in San Fransisco and the twins were working at two shops that were luckily across the road from each other. Josh worked at the book store and Sophie worked at the Coffee shop. Josh's boss looked normal enough and went by the name of Nick Fleming. But that was only his cover name. His real name was Nicholas Flamel and along with his wife Perenelle they were both immortals who had lived for nearly seven hundred years. Guardians of the codex also know as the Book of Abraham the Mage, Nicholas and Perenelle Flamel had a very adventurous life. But little did Sophie and Josh know that their lives will change. With the Codex along with Perenelle stolen and Sophie and Josh supposedly the twin's of legend with auras of pure gold and silver they set out on a journey that could take them to many places and encounters with creatures that belong in nightmares. This book is a thrilling adventure and was a wonderful book to read. The story was so intriguing I could not put the book down once I had started reading it. It is a book for good readers and is a book for readers who are into adventure and fantasy. The author has a great imagination and has used words that are emotive and give the story more power. This book is definitely one of the best books I have read. Once I finished this book I wanted to read on and realised that their was a whole series to enjoy. The rest of the series books are called The Magician, The Sorceress and The Necromancer. This book is a thrilling adventure and was a wonderful book to read. The story was so intriguing I could not put the book down once I had started reading it. It is a book for good readers and is a book for readers who are into adventure and fantasy. The author has a great imagination and has used words that are emotive and give the story more power. This book is definitely one of the best books I have read. Once I finished this book I wanted to read on and realised that their was a whole series to enjoy.
