Title: Staying Alive In Year 5
Author: John Marsden
Reviewer: Dean Canned Tomatoes
Scott and none of his friends: Johnny, Alice,Faggot,Tom and Michael are very
nervous about starting Year 5. They don't know which teacher they are
going to have and think it is going to be a very difficult year until they
meet Mr Murlin. Their new teacher is full of surprises.
Mr Murlin is also a busker and magician. He makes school time fun and
enjoyable. He does not believe in text books and eating chocolate in class
is compulsory.Everything from maths homework to class games becomes
a joke. He is not your typical teacher. The kids just don't know what is
going to happen from one day to the next.
This book is an easy read. It's funny and very entertaining. But I wouldn't know i can't read.
I rate it 4/5 stars.
